Old St. Augustine Village: This site has been continuously occupied by Europeans since the 16th century. Today, visitors can see ten historic Saint Augustine houses including the Murat House, famed for its residents and visitors, from Napoléon Bonaparte to Greta Garbo.
Colonial Spanish Quarter: Immerse yourself in 18th-century Spanish St. Augustine as craftspeople in period dress demonstrate trades such as blacksmithing, carpentry, leatherworking, candlemaking and other trades. The visitor experiences how these families lived, grew, and cooked their food and tended their livestock.
St. Augustine Lighthouse: Built between 1871 and 1874, the lighthouse is still in operation today and is open to visitors. The grounds include the lighthouse, oil house, keeper's quarters, and museum store plus the lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Gonzalez-Alverez House: "The Oldest House" is one of the country's best documented older houses. Though the original structure burned in 1702, the site has been continuously occupied since 1565. Its beginnings date to the immediate time after the destruction of the English forces in 1702. The oldest part of this house was erected as a two-room one-story coquina structure in the early 1700s.
Castillo De San Marcos: Built between 1672 and 1695, the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument represents the oldest remaining European fortification in the continental United States. The masonry fort and its surrounding land comprise 25 acres in historic downtown St. Augustine
Ft. Matanzas National Monument: Built on the site where French Huguenots were massacred in 1565, this impressive masonry watchtower now stands sentinel over a vast park that is home to numerous endangered species. Completed in 1742, the fortification was erected on the West Bank of the Matanzas River, immediately north of an inlet from the ocean, in order to prohibit enemy ships from proceeding northward along the river in an attack against the settlement at St. Augustine.
St. Augustine Alligator Farm: See rare white alligators and the world's only complete display of all 23 species of crocodilians from around the world. See parrots, monkeys, a natural bird rookery and more. Founded in 1893, the St. Augustine Alligator Farm is one of Florida’s oldest zoological attractions.
